Nfinity, the first women’s performance team sport footwear company, is pleased to announce that Amy Broadhead Desharnais has joined the company as Basketball Brand Manager.  In her new position, Desharnais will be responsible for all future development of Nfinity’s basketball business, including overseeing the design, marketing and production of the company’s basketball division.  “We are ecstatic to have Amy join the Nfinity team,” said Nfinity CEO Tate Chalk. “We spent a long time looking for someone of her caliber and experience to take on this challenging role and as a true basketball insider, we are confident she will be able to drive the business by helping us achieve our goal of making a profound difference in the lives of female athletes.”  Desharnais is both an accomplished athlete and experienced sports-industry product manager.  She grew up in North Andover, Mass. where she was a high school All-American soccer player and eventually inducted into Brooks School Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. Her athletic career continued at Brown University where she played basketball and was captain of the soccer team. She joins Nfinity with 10 years of experience in product management of footwear and apparel and immediately prior to joining Nfinity, Desharnais was a senior product manager for WNBA, NCAA and NBA apparel with Adidas.  “This new role is the perfect integration of my experience working in women’s-specific footwear and with the WNBA,” said Desharnais. “More girls play basketball than any other sport in this country, yet historically the only option for footwear has been boy’s/men’s shoes, so I am eager to make a positive impact on this often neglected segment of the sports industry.”
