For women attempting to enter the workforce, a common problem exists: without a job, they can’t afford a suit, and without a suit, they can’t get a job.  “We partnered with Dress for Success to help disadvantaged women make that first impression a good one!” said Vivian Behrens, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of dressbarn, inc.  During Dress for Success’s S.O.S. – Send One Suit – Weekend, February 19 – February 22, dressbarn stores will collect clothing from customers and donate them to underprivileged women seeking career development support. This year, the spokeswoman for S.O.S. – Send One Suit – Weekend is Bobbi Brown, founder and chief executive officer of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and member of the Dress for Success Worldwide Board of Directors.  “With the donation of just one suit, an entire family can be transformed,” said Joi Gordon, chief executive officer of Dress for Success Worldwide. “So many of the women who come to Dress for Success are single mothers, and the suit is the first step in her journey to achieve self-sufficiency.”  Individuals are being asked to donate new or gently-used suits and other professional apparel to any dressbarn location during S.O.S. – Send One Suit – Weekend. To show their appreciation to their customers, dressbarn stores will provide an additional 15 percent off total purchase savings to every customer who brings in a donation during Send One Suit Weekend! A donation receipt will be provided for all suit and career donations.
