In response to an unexpected number of requests for its lead national sponsorship, SMART TALK Connected Conversations™, has created a competition to select a national sponsor for its upcoming season.    SMART TALK Connected Conversations, ( is a highly acclaimed and successful women’s event series now in its 16th year, featuring top names such as Geena Davis, Jane Fonda, Maya Angelou, Valerie Plame Wilson, Lisa Ling, Glenn Close, Erin Brockovich and others in an interactive forum.  According to SMART TALK chairman Errol Menke, “We provide a unique and targeted platform for reaching upscale female consumers across the country.  It has been ideal for national marketers wanting to reach this audience – such as automakers, retailers, cosmetic companies, financial services.  However, it is critical to our mission that our lead sponsor connects with the conversation and be creative in its use of our venue.”  For this reason, SMART TALK is asking sponsors to submit proposals stating how they would use the forum in a way that benefits its patrons, as well as their efforts. The sponsorship will span the full 2009 season with events at premiere theatres in Des Moines, IA; Cincinnati, OH; Wilmington, DE; New Brunswick, NJ; Milwaukee, WI; and Minneapolis, MN, as well as additional cities planned for the Spring of 2009 which will extend the SMART TALK reach to both coasts.   “This special marketing opportunity will go to the company that is best suited to and has the most creative and thought-provoking vision of how they will “talk to” and interact with SMART TALK’s sophisticated, career oriented, community involved audience,” added Menke.  Proposals should be no longer than 1,000 words. SMART TALK is accepting proposals through November 30, 2008 and the winning marketer will be notified by December 15, 2008.  For more information, contact Debra Berliner at G.S. Schwartz & Co.,
